How godišnja naknada in Croatia is calculated
Croatia's recurring car charge is the annual public-roads fee, collected when the car passes its technical inspection.
It is set by engine displacement. For 2026 the base rose from 28.50 to 40 EUR — the first change since 2003 — lifting the fee by roughly 60%: 38.40 EUR up to 1,000 ccm, 79.60 up to 1,600 and 95.60 up to 2,000. Bands above 2,000 ccm are estimated here because the official ladder for them was not obtainable. Estimate, not tax advice.
